Simplicity and Serenity Thay Chuc Hien is a renowned Dhamma Master in Vietnam. Having began a Sramanerani (or novice monk) education in at Duc Son Temple located at Chau Thanh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau in South Vietnam, Chuc Hien enrolled in a Vietnam Buddhist Church where he obtained a Buddhist Diploma of Buddhist Intermediate Studied in February 26,1997. On April 4, 1998 Hien undertook full ordination and accepted The Bhikus regulation. A Bhikus is a full-ordained monk in the Buddhist monastic tradition. Later, Thay Chuc Hien was accepted into a Vietnam Buddhist Academy, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Buddhist Studies in 2001. In 2007. Chuc Hien received an invitation from the Venerable Thich Thong Hai to further his Buddhist studies and training at the LAC Mission in Ventura, California. After moving from Vietnam to Ventura, he has taken leadership by leading all the Vietnamese ceremonies, and gives Dhamma Talks on Buddhism and teaches meditation in Vietnamese. Venerable Thich Thong Hai founded this particular temple in 2001 for the benefit of those who want to study Buddhism.
